This Privacy Policy describes how Straits Bunkering Pte Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the SBPL OPS application ("the App"), available on web, desktop, and mobile platforms.
SBPL OPS is an internal business operations tool used by authorised employees and contractors of Straits Bunkering Pte Ltd to manage vessel schedules, fuel operations, and related logistics data. It is not intended for use by the general public.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate the App:
- Account information: your name, work email address, role, department, and position, provided when your account is created by an administrator.
- Authentication data: a securely hashed password and session tokens used to keep you signed in.
- Operational data: vessel schedules, fuel quantities, and related business records you enter while using the App. This is business data belonging to Straits Bunkering Pte Ltd, not personal data.
- Usage data: login timestamps and basic activity records used for security and audit purposes.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, or any data from other apps on your device. The App contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
2. How We Use Information
- To authenticate you and provide access to the App.
- To operate, maintain, and improve internal business workflows.
- To maintain security, prevent unauthorised access, and keep audit records.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to company operations.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is not shared with third parties, except:
- With our hosting provider, solely to store and serve the App's data on our behalf.
- Where required by law, regulation, or legal process.
4. Data Storage and Security
Data is stored on servers controlled by Straits Bunkering Pte Ltd. All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS). Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing and are never stored in plain text. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel.
5. Data Retention
Account information is retained for as long as you are an active user. When your employment or engagement ends, your account is deactivated and personal information is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business records.
6. Your Rights and Account Deletion
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at the email address below. Because accounts are provisioned by company administrators, account deletion requests are processed by our operations team, normally within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is a workplace tool intended for adult employees and contractors. It is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect information from, anyone under the age of 18.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to users through the App or by email.
